Our surveyors carried out a utility mapping survey at RAF Uxbridge as part of a comprehensive refurbishment scheme being directed by English Heritage. RAF Uxbridge was an Royal Airforce Station best known as the Headquarters of No.11 Group RAF. During the Battle of Britain the Station was responsible for the aerial defence of London and the South-East. The image above shows the Plot Table where operations were planned and co-ordinated.

We have just helped DCR Training and XtraSills with another round of the National Grids HS(G)47 Training courses at Thorpe Marsh and Bishops Wood Substation respectively. We have provided technical support and delivered sessions on utility surveys and underground mapping emphasising ways to maximise the quality of output on survey work. We are delighted to contribute to this excellent course and help to make for SAFER excavations on construction sites.

Working in conjunction with Allied Associates the UK's foremost supplier of Geophysical Instruments we have carried out trial investigations for an International Energy company. The investigations focussed upon the use of non-invasive methods to locate land and field drains on arable farmland.
